Day Twenty-One – Give It All to Receive Much More
“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us and your generosity will result in Thanksgiving to God.” – 2 Corinthians 9:11I am thankful that I am surrounded (generally) by positive people. No matter your religion, most would agree that a negative person in your life is not good anyone. One positive person emits positive vibes, thereby makes others feel positive well. Those whom I work with help me so much with feeling good by staying positive, thanking me for what I do (even if it’s something in my job description).
Day Twenty-Two – The True Understanding of Thanksgiving
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and Thanksgiving be made for all people.” -1 Timothy 2:1 “Have the attitude in yourself that was also in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 2:8This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for everyone and everything around me. I thank the Lord for the Life and breath he gives me. I thank him for the blessing of a stable job, good health, a wonderful husband, a loving family,a roof over my head, two great rescue doggies, and so much more.
This excerpt from the devotionals of 30 Days of Thanksgiving for this day, says it perfectly…
“Lord, our prayer today is this: please open our eyes to see the world, all men, near to us and far away, as You do. Help us to be thankful for them so that we may be available to live our YOUR great commission to ‘go unto all the world and preach the gospel’ wherever you may lead us. Amen”
